Check This Out: Solo Free-Climb in Zion National Park

By:

Utah is riddled with breathtaking cliffs and miles of sandstone. Those two mixed together in an adrenaline pumping recipe gathers hundreds of the world’s best climbers to our alley. But few are as talented (or should we say crazy?) as 25-year-old Alex Honnold.

YouTube has been giving Honnold a significant amount of world-wide attention for some of the most daring and intense climbing around. Oh, and did we mention he is doing it without any ropes? That’s right, Honnold is scaling hundreds of feet without having any anchor line or tether–there is no room for error.

Honnold’s “usual” climbs are, well, dwarfed compared to a recent undertaking posted on YouTube just a month ago, where he scaled the world-renowned Moonlight Buttress in Zion National Park–1,000 feet of sheer cliff and a climb few people would even consider with rope.

Think you might be able to take this on? Let us know.
