Redmen Get Rammed Off The Field

By:

The Highland Rams traveled down I-15 to take on the Redmen of Cedar High Friday Night.

Despite three Highland penalties in the first four plays of the game, including one before the ball was even kicked-off, the Rams were able to jump on the Redmen from the get-go.

Justin Weaver recovered a fumble on the Cedar 20 yard line and returned it 80 yards for the first touchdown of the game. Cedar tried to fight their way through the tough Highland defensive line, but with only mild success.

Senior Quarterback Anthony Smithson led the Rams with multiple rushes for long distances including a run of 70 yards for a touchdown.

The Rams went to the locker room up 41-0 at half. The Redmen scored late to avoid the shutout, but Highland still ran away with the 41-7 victory.

Next week the Redmen host Skyline High School, while the Rams host Provo High.
